ME

My name is Megan Evetts and I am the Home School Link Worker and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead at William Morris Primary School. The main purpose of my role is offering early help support to families and working together with a range of other professionals to make sure that you and your family get the right support, from the right people, at the right time. As a safeguarding lead, I am also responsible for ensuring the safety and welfare of all children within our school. I am also responsible for supporting good attendance for all of our pupils and working with families to address and overcome any barriers to good school attendance. As part of my role I am able to:

  • Complete Strengths & Needs Assessments
  • Lead on or attend Team Around the Family (TAF) meetings
  • Attend and contribute to child protection, child in need and family help meetings
  • Referrals to and liaising with external agencies such as Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), Mental Health Support Team (MHST), School Health Nursing and community organisations such as Home Start
  • Issue food bank vouchers
  • Offer guidance and advice on issues such as parenting, behaviour and special educational needs (SEND)
  • Signpost to local and national support
  • Domestic Abuse Champion work and support

If you would like to explore early help support for you and your family, or to access support with any of the above, please do contact me via Class Dojo, email me at m.evetts@williammorrisschool.org or reach me on 01295 258224
