Trip to Cotswold Wildlife Park

🐾🚌 What an incredible day Year 1 had on their trip to Cotswold Wildlife Park!
Linking closely to their STEAM curriculum, our young explorers stepped into the roles of scientists and artists, using their observation skills to investigate and record the amazing variety of animals they encountered. 🦁🦒🦜

As scientists, they focused on animal classification — looking carefully at features such as fur, feathers, scales, and body shapes to sort creatures into groups like mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians. They asked thoughtful questions about habitats, adaptations, and behaviours, showing great curiosity and scientific thinking. 🔬🌍

The children were fascinated by everything from tiny meerkats to towering giraffes, and even had the chance to observe some very sleepy lions! 🦁🐾
It was a brilliant day full of learning, wonder, and creativity. Thank you to the staff and parent helpers who made the trip such a success!
