GLF School Improvement Team Visit

I am delighted to let you know that last week we had a very positive visit from the GLF School Improvement Team.  They spent two days in the school observing all teachers, talking to children, speaking with staff and looking at the work the children have been doing. It was recognised that there is still work to be done, but the school has made significant improvements over the past two terms. They were really pleased to see very well behaved children who were enjoying their learning and were happy and polite. The teaching overall was good with some aspects that were outstanding. In these cases every child had worked matched to their ability, were engaged with the learning and were being challenged.

The team also noted how amazing the school is looking with signage, great displays and classrooms that are enabling good learning. GLF felt that the school overall appeared alive and buzzing. They said the William Morris team were all working hard to provide the best for the children.

The GLF team also recognised the excellent leadership within the school, that was giving clear direction to ensure the school rapidly improved.

Overall it was a very positive experience that endorses all the hard work that has taken place. Thank you to the whole team at William Morris.
